Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez
Open in Google Maps →
Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez sits inside the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City complex in eastern Mexico City, making it one of the most metro-accessible circuits on the F1 calendar. Mexico City's public transport network handles race weekend crowds well, with Metro Line 9 dropping fans within a 12-minute walk of the main gates. Uber and DiDi operate freely in CDMX, but expect surge pricing and gridlock within 3 km of the circuit on race day — build in 90 extra minutes if you're not taking the metro.
Metro (Line 9 — Café Line)
Take Line 9 (Café/brown) to either Ciudad Deportiva or Velódromo station — both are a 10–12 minute walk to the circuit's main fan entrance on Puerta 6. A single Metro ride costs just 5 MXN (~$0.25 USD), making it the cheapest transport option on the entire F1 calendar. On race day, trains run at crush capacity by 10 AM; travel before 9 AM or accept the queue. From Polanco or the historic centre, connect via Line 1 (Rosa) eastbound to Pantitlán, then one stop west on Line 9 to Ciudad Deportiva — total journey 30–40 minutes.
Official F1 Race Shuttles
The official Fórmula 1 Gran Premio de la Ciudad de México shuttles depart from three designated hubs: Angel de la Independencia (Paseo de la Reforma), Auditorio Nacional (Polanco), and Estadio Azteca (south). Tickets cost 150–200 MXN (~$7–10 USD) each way and must be purchased in advance via the race's official website or at the hub on race morning (sell out by 9 AM). Buses run from 8 AM through 2 hours after the chequered flag, with a dedicated return queue at Puerta 1. For qualifying and practice days, shuttle frequency drops — allow extra wait time on Saturday.
Uber / DiDi / Taxi
Uber and DiDi are the standard rideshare options in CDMX and both work reliably across the city. The official rideshare drop-off zone is on Avenida Río Churubusco, Gate 10 side — tell your driver 'Foro Sol puerta de autos' and they'll know it. From Polanco expect 200–350 MXN (~$10–17 USD) on a normal day, but race-day surge pricing pushes fares to 600–900 MXN with 45–75 minute journey times due to circuit-area road closures. Never attempt to drive and park yourself on race day — the Circuito Interior and Viaducto Miguel Alemán both close in a 2 km radius of the circuit from 8 AM.
