Transport to Buriram for MotoGP is highly efficient, centered around a dedicated shuttle network connecting the airport, railway station, and bus terminal to the Chang International Circuit. While the city is small, the influx of fans is managed through a comprehensive 'City Transfer' system that makes navigation straightforward even without a personal vehicle.
Metro / Train
Trains depart from Bangkok's Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, taking 5.5 to 8 hours to reach Buriram Station. The Special Express #21 is the fastest daytime option, while overnight sleepers like #23 allow you to save on a night's hotel stay. From Buriram Station, the dedicated P2 Shuttle Line provides free, frequent transfers directly to the circuit entrance.
Shuttle Bus
The official 'City Transfer' network features dedicated lines: P1 from the airport, P2 from the railway, and P3 from the bus terminal. Once at the circuit, the iconic 'E-taen' modified farm trucks provide a unique local shuttle service from Gate 1 to the various grandstands. These shuttles are the most reliable way to bypass race-day traffic jams and reach your seat quickly.
Taxi / Rideshare
Grab is the most reliable ride-hailing service in Buriram, featuring designated drop-off and pick-up zones at Gates 1 and 2 to avoid the worst congestion. Local taxis and motorbike taxis are also available at transport hubs, but it is essential to agree on a fixed price before departing as meters are rarely used. Be prepared for significant traffic delays on the main arteries leading to the circuit during peak Sunday hours.
