Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN) is one of Europe's busiest hubs with direct flights from over 200 destinations. The airport is 30 minutes from the city centre and 50 minutes from the circuit via Renfe suburban rail and taxi combination. Multiple transport options serve the circuit from the city on race weekend.
Fly to Barcelona (BCN)
Barcelona El Prat Airport has direct flights from virtually every major European city, plus long-haul routes from North America, Middle East, and Asia. Vueling, Iberia, and Ryanair are the main carriers. Metro line L9 Sud or Aerobús coach connect airport to city centre in 30 minutes.
Metro & Renfe to Montmeló
Rodalies line R2 Nord from Barcelona Sants or Passeig de Gràcia to Montmeló station — 35–40 minutes, ~€5. On race weekend, trains run every 15–20 minutes from 7am. Walk 15 minutes from Montmeló station to circuit gates.
Rental Car
All major rental companies operate from BCN airport. The circuit is 25 km northeast via the C-17/A-17 motorway (toll). Parking at the circuit is ample but fills quickly — arrive before 9am on race day.
Official Shuttles
Race weekend shuttle buses run from Barcelona city centre (Plaça Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia) directly to the circuit gates. Check the official circuit website for departure times and pricing — typically €8–12 return.
