Suzuka International Racing Course is located about 60km from Nagoya in a rural area, making transport planning essential for a smooth race weekend. Most fans stay in Nagoya or Osaka and rely on Japan's efficient but highly congested train network and dedicated shuttle services.
Metro / Train
Take the Kintetsu Nagoya Line to Shiroko Station (40-50 mins from Nagoya). Use the Limited Express for reserved seats (book online exactly one month in advance) or the Express for a budget option. Alternatively, the Ise Railway to Suzuka Circuit Ino Station is the closest walk to the track (20 mins), but expect extreme post-race congestion and wait times exceeding 3 hours.
Shuttle Bus
The Mie Kotsu shuttle runs constantly between Shiroko Station and the circuit for approximately 1,000 JPY; pay via IC card (Suica/Pasmo) to save time. For a more comfortable experience, look for 'Direct Circuit Shuttles' from Nagoya, Osaka, or Kyoto, which offer guaranteed seating and bypass the need for train transfers, though they are subject to highway traffic.
Taxi / Rideshare
Taxis are available at Shiroko and Hiratacho stations, costing roughly 2,000β3,000 JPY to the designated circuit drop-off point near the main gate. While convenient for getting to the track in the morning, they are nearly impossible to hail after the race, so plan to use the shuttle or walk back to the station.
