Monza is one of the easiest circuits on the F1 calendar to reach by public transport β a direct suburban train from Milan's city centre drops you 900 metres from the circuit gates in under 20 minutes. Milan's two main intercity hubs (Centrale and Garibaldi) feed directly into the Monza rail network, making a car completely unnecessary for race weekend. Plan your journey around the session schedule, because the platforms pack out fast in the 30 minutes after the chequered flag.
Train (Trenitalia / Trenord)
The S8 suburban line runs from Milano Porta Garibaldi to Monza station every 6β10 minutes on race days, with a journey time of 14 minutes and a flat fare of β¬2.40 with a standard ATM/Trenord ticket. From Milano Centrale take any regional train headed to Lecco or Bergamo β Monza is the first stop, 12 minutes away. Exit Monza station and follow the blue circuit signage for a flat 10-minute walk (900 m) to the Vedano gate. Buy your return ticket before you travel β ticket machines queue 5 people deep after the race.
Official Shuttle Bus
F1 Experiences and several hospitality operators run branded coaches from Piazza Luigi di Savoia (directly outside Milano Centrale) from 07:00 on each race day, with returns departing 30β60 minutes after the session ends. Independent shuttle services (β¬12β18 return) also depart from Linate Airport and Milan's Loreto metro hub. Book in advance via the circuit's official travel partners β seats sell out by Wednesday of race week. The drop-off point is the dedicated Shuttle Zone at Gate 2, saving the station walk entirely.
Taxi / Rideshare
Uber and itTaxi both operate in Milan and Monza; expect a fare of β¬35β55 from central Milan on a normal day, rising to β¬60β90 during race weekend due to surge pricing and road closures around the Parco di Monza. Drivers will drop you on Via Vedano or Via Cavriga β the nearest public road access points β as the park's inner roads close to private traffic from Friday morning. Budget 45β75 minutes for the return journey after the race due to controlled traffic egress; the train remains the faster exit option for most fans.
