Silverstone Circuit
Open in Google Maps β
Silverstone is a rural circuit located in the heart of the English countryside, meaning transport requires careful planning. With nearly 500,000 fans attending over the weekend, official shuttles and pre-booked services are the only reliable ways to reach the gates without significant stress.
Train & Station Shuttles
There is no train station at the circuit. Fans should travel to Milton Keynes Central, Northampton, or Banbury stations. From there, official shuttle buses run frequently, taking 40β50 minutes to reach the circuit. Return shuttle tickets cost between Β£10 and Β£25 and must be booked via the Silverstone app.
Park & Ride / Coaches
Official Park & Ride sites at M1 J15a (Sixfields) and M40 J10 (Turweston) offer the fastest access via dedicated bus lanes. Alternatively, National Express and Megabus run direct 'Events' coaches from over 30 UK cities including London, Birmingham, and Oxford, dropping fans directly at Gate 3.
Taxi / Rideshare
Taxis and Ubers are highly discouraged as there is no designated rank at the circuit. The closest drop-off point is in Silverstone Village, requiring a 20-minute walk to the gates. Expect high surge pricing and significant delays due to the local one-way traffic systems implemented during race weekend.
