Would have liked Jed a little more time at each castle to explore more rooms independently. Denote to Mont st Michel Claire’s accent and microphone effectiveness made much of her speaking lost. We were unable to see and follow her inside Mont St Michel so would suggest also purchasing or downloading an audioguide. Layla’s information was intriguing and understandable and she was helpful with tips.. Hotel accommodation was fine.
Mont St Michel was very impressive, but their tour information for tourists was poor. I had a problem with the shuttle bus system because there was no map showing the shuttle stop. Although my tour guide advised us to take a shuttle, the first comer speaking English to the area couldn’t get the reality on poor signs on the street. On the way to the parking lot, we met some French people, but no one can point where is the parking lot for bus. The worst thing was I couldn’t find my luggage in my bus. Just the bus driver asked me to search baggage. Finally my tour guide started to look for my luggage and talked with new bus driver for the 2nd day tourThen new bus driver showed his storage in his bus; finally I found my luggage. I don’t know how my luggage was transferred to new bus. No one explained or apologized to me. The 2nd day tour was very confusing and inefficient because new tour guide was multi-language translator. I did not expect I would get multilingual explanations all day.
We recently took this tour to Mont Saint-Michel and the Loire Valley, and while there were a few highlights, overall, it was a frustrating experience. First, the positives: the guide for the second leg of our journey from after Mont Saint-Michel through the Loire Valley back to Paris was fantastic. She was professional, knowledgeable, and kind, which made the latter part of the trip much more enjoyable. The hotel in Angers was also great! Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The rest of the tour was poorly managed. The bus driver refused to help with our luggage, even though portage was clearly included in the tour package. My husband had to physically climb into the bus to retrieve our bags, which was not only inconvenient but also unsafe. The lack of basic assistance was shocking, especially for a tour that advertises itself as providing a seamless experience. Other staff members were unhelpful and dismissive, which left a sour taste in our mouths. I can't recommend.
