Travel Guide
The Brazil MotoGP Grand Prix 2026 takes place 20–22 March at the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna in São Paulo, with Friday qualifying from 13:50, Saturday's Sprint at 15:00, and Sunday's main race at 15:00 BRT (UTC−3). São Paulo offers world-class dining, vibrant nightlife on Rua Augusta, and easy circuit access via the CPTM commuter rail — making it one of the best fan weekends on the MotoGP calendar.
Take São Paulo Metro Line 9-Esmeralda (CPTM) toward Grajaú and alight at Autódromo station — the closest stop to the circuit, roughly a 15-minute walk to Gate A. From Pinheiros interchange station, the journey takes approximately 25 minutes and costs R$5.00 (Bilhete Único). On race days, CPTM runs extended hours with increased frequency on Line 9; arrive before 8:30am to avoid platform congestion at Autódromo station.
Official MotoGP shuttles depart from Eldorado Bus Terminal (connected to Pinheiros metro station) and Shopping SP Market, running every 15 minutes from 7am on race day. The shuttle fare is typically R$20–R$30 round trip and drops fans directly at the main circuit entrance on Avenida Interlagos. SPTrans also operates supplementary Route 675A buses from Santo Amaro Terminal to the circuit area, though these run on standard schedules and can be crowded.
Uber and 99 (the dominant local rideshare app) both operate in São Paulo. A ride from Jardins or Paulista Avenue to the circuit takes 35–50 minutes without traffic but can exceed 90 minutes on race morning — budget R$45–R$80 depending on surge pricing. Drop-off is on Avenida Interlagos near Gate C; pick-up after the race is notoriously slow, so walk 10 minutes to Avenida do Rio Bonito for faster rideshare matching. Download the 99 app before arriving — it often undercuts Uber by 15–20% in São Paulo.
