Travel Guide
The British Grand Prix at Silverstone is one of the most iconic events on the F1 calendar, blending rich history with high-speed drama. Located in the heart of England, this former airfield circuit offers a unique atmosphere where passionate fans and legendary corners create an unforgettable racing experience.
There is no train station at the circuit. Fans should travel to Milton Keynes Central, Northampton, or Banbury stations. From there, official shuttle buses run frequently, taking 40–50 minutes to reach the circuit. Return shuttle tickets cost between £10 and £25 and must be booked via the Silverstone app.
Official Park & Ride sites at M1 J15a (Sixfields) and M40 J10 (Turweston) offer the fastest access via dedicated bus lanes. Alternatively, National Express and Megabus run direct 'Events' coaches from over 30 UK cities including London, Birmingham, and Oxford, dropping fans directly at Gate 3.
Taxis and Ubers are highly discouraged as there is no designated rank at the circuit. The closest drop-off point is in Silverstone Village, requiring a 20-minute walk to the gates. Expect high surge pricing and significant delays due to the local one-way traffic systems implemented during race weekend.
