Travel Guide
Experience the thrill of Formula 1 at one of the calendar's most scenic circuits. The Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring offers a unique combination of high-speed straights, dramatic elevation changes, and a passionate alpine atmosphere that makes it a fan favorite every year.
Take an ÖBB train to Knittelfeld station (2.5h from Vienna, 1.5h from Graz). From there, free shuttle buses run every 20 minutes directly to the circuit entrance from 08:00 until late evening. It is the most reliable and cost-effective method for race day.
Official 'City Shuttles' operate on Saturday and Sunday from major hubs like Vienna, Graz, Salzburg, and Linz. These direct coaches must be booked in advance and drop you off at a dedicated bus terminal within walking distance of the main gates, bypassing general car traffic.
Taxis can reach the circuit but are subject to the same heavy traffic as private cars. Expect a fare of at least €50 from nearby towns like Zeltweg or Judenburg during peak hours. Rideshare availability is extremely limited in this rural region, so pre-booking a local taxi is highly recommended.
